Lots of progress made today.....few minor glitches, but overall a lot was accomplished at THE BARN!

The garage door is perfect and HUGE! It’s a 14’x12’ door so the camper can fit. I love it. It’s hard to visualize how a door this large will look, but I think it turned out just right.
The west wall of our barn is complete. The gable ends always take a bit, but it’s really starting to take shape! I can’t wait to see the front unfold.
Now you can take a glimpse of the upstairs. We have STAIRS! The kids can now picture what their rooms will look like! I get my crafting loft too so I’m a tad excited about seeing that. We also have some interior walls upstairs and more exterior panels.
















 Meanwhile the real life of living on wheels and using every second of our spare time outside of work things like this happen. The tires are both flat and needed repaired on the lawn mower so we are true red necks now minus the blocks! I’m just hoping the grass dies soon!! I’m hopeful by the end of the weekend that our camper will move into the barn. Woohoo!

Well if you have every wondered about purchasing a personal “shitter” on wheels....I wouldn’t recommend it. Before we had our camper hard piped to the septic, but now we are using this to transfer “poop”. Oh we are living the life!!

So after we bought this property in the fall of 2018 we would go over and hang out at the property on weekends. The kids loved to walk the paths and created a trail clear into the woods where they made a fire pit out of rocks from the creek. Kale was super proud of this area. Emelia loved to work on the stone path down into the creek. Ava helped, but she more just enjoyed the beauty of the property and loved to dream up ideas of where we would build and how it would all look. Coffee Bar Decor

 I've had my eye on this mug rack for several years and I finally purchased it from Magnolia Market earlier this summer.  I knew I wanted to incorporate this into the barn somewhere.  Initially I wanted it next to my stove, but after looking at it there I decided I wanted it stand alone and it would be perfect for my coffee bar.  I currently hang my glass mugs and coffee mugs on it, but have some black and white mugs on order.  We are still a work in progress so the mugs we drink out of will eventually go on shelving above the counters.  I'm so ready to have all of this put together, but we are making progress.  I purchased this truck back in the fall and it came from Kirklands with a fall arrangement in it that was lit with battery operated lights.  I LOVE this truck.  It is the perfect size and since the arrangement was just in foam I was able to remove it easily.  I already have my eye on some buffalo check eggs at Hobby Lobby for spring.  I have a couple hot pads th

The Barn Bathroom - It's coming together!

Our bathroom in The Barn was one of the first things finished when we were still living in the camper.  That was a glorious day to finally be able to take a shower in normal size shower with room to move my arms above my head, raise my legs above knee bent position to shave and not be able to touch all of the shower walls from one location in the shower!  It's funny the things that are so trivial become so important when you don't have them.  Well that was the bathroom for me.  I think as long as I lived in the camper I just kept taking it one day at a time and one more day making it through I was one more day closer to moving into The Barn.  It's definitely been a learning experience for all of us.  I'm so very thankful to be to the decorating stage of the game even though we still have other finishes to go!
